“I just wanted to thank you and the staff at Five Towns Patch for the superior job you did in reporting breaking news and features during the recent harrowing aftermath of Sandy. Your news outlet was the only one focused on our little community and you were outstanding. Thank you very much again and continued luck and success.” --Mitchell Pak, to Five Towns LE Stephen Bronner
“It's Hanukkah and I don't typically do this, but I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you (and maybe you can share this with your boss at Patch too?) just how much you contribute to Reston's sense of community as our Patch editor. We've lived in Reston almost 15 years so I have a clear sense of "pre-Patch" and "since Patch" -- what a difference! Also, my kids go to Great Falls Elementary School so I know what it's like to have one foot in a community that doesn't have any Patch. Again, what a difference! Without Patch, there is a sense of aimless wandering among people who might care just as much but don't have any organized way to communicate. Lost in the sea of Fairfax County, non-Patch communities require more time to start a movement around a particular issue and communicate relevant info to those interested. It's just different. I love having Patch. I look forward to my update every morning, and I appreciate the connection to other Patches in the county. Every community should have Patch. But I've also seen what happens when I have contacted a Patch person (e.g. in Fairfax) and they no-show for an event. You, Karen, don't do that. You are there, always there for us -- you live in our community and you REPRESENT. So, thank you for doing such a great job for us here in Reston. Happy Hanukkah. May the lights of Hanukkah illuminate your vision and your writing all year long.”

“I'm really impressed with the coverage of the election (pre and post). This was the first election I was able to get info on all of the candidates. And the coverage of the blackout kept me from going crazy waiting for National Grid. Thanks and keep up the good work!”
To Parsippany Patch
“The Parsippany Patch coverage of the Little Viking Football program has been tremendous. Your article on how parents feel when they see their young son on the field for the first time enjoying being part of team, learning how to play the great game of football and having fun was great. The coverage of our "Pink Out" game to raise money and awareness of breast cancer was very special. ... The Patch has done a wonderful of covering the team this year. The game pictures and stories are great. The Patch is now the media we all turn to to get our updates and coverage of the games.”

“Bryan, Greetings from Baghdad. T'day for me, even in Baghdad, wouldn't be complete without following NAHS T'day game. Thanks, Jim”
To Galloway Patch
“I’ve come to enjoy having my morning coffee while reading the Patch. It gives me more local news and info than South Jersey print media. If you read an item that you want to comment on you can do it with the click of a mouse as opposed to writing a letter to the editor that may never get published. Thanks Anthony for your coverage during the election season and I look forward to reading the Patch for years to come!”
To Clearwater Patch
"I can tell you Patch has made an impact. When the city manager of Clearwater replies to comments made by others about your story, oh yeah. When I got interviewed on WFLA I asked where he saw this, Patch was the answer. The Tampa Bay Times has all but shut down their North County Section too so I have to rely on you for what's going on."

“Of all the news editors I've met all over Florida, from Pensacola to Miami, big and small, syndicated and independent, you lead as the most understanding and supportive. Much appreciated.”

“I am a disabled American veteran that has spent 3 years in combat in Iraq, ranging from the invasion to the drawdown of troops. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and severe anxiety along with my other physical injuries. I just wanted you to know that before I told you that your article on the Benjamin Sebena trial was by far the most intelligent and straightforward piece I've ever seen written by any journalist that hasn't experienced it themselves. There was no attempt to sensationalize the story, no openly visible attempt to give opinion on whether he should be guilty or not-guilty, and no attempt to make an excuse for him or condemn him for his PTSD. On behalf of PTSD laden veterans that have to fight stereotypes and stigmas on a daily basis, I thank you. Thank you for your refreshingly unbiased article that breaks down the truth, the illness, and actual legal decisions made concerning PTSD/mental health cases.”

"Just heard the sirens, knew the Patch on Facebook would have an update ASAP. Awesome!"

“You are so FAST at reporting.... Great stuff. I heard the helicopters and then five minutes later PATCH has this report. You have also helped me avoid the bridge when there are sudden closures. GREAT job!!!”
