What's it like to work here?

Here is why I love Patch. Because every single time I go to a local Patch event or an anniversary party I encounter people like Carmel Judd. Carmel Judd runs a tiny but extraordinary organization called Rising International in Santa Cruz that helps the poorest women on earth. Carmel told me at Santa Cruz Patch's one year anniversary party that Patch had made life better for her and countless others because after LE Brad Kava's Greatest Person story ran Jan. 4 she got 356 emails and comments from readers asking how they can volunteer and she's still responding to the outpouring. Carmel is a big Patch fan. Making our community better, one Patch at a time. This is what we do, connect people, connect the dots, help people be better informed citizens, and that is why I love Patch.
